Newlands, ) Deputy Chairman ) CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY WHEREAS pursuant to a public hearing the Commission issued Order No. C-6-82 dated September 17, 1982 authorizing B.C. Hydro to construct and operate the proposed 500,000 volt electric transmission line between the Cranbrook Substation near Cranbrook, B.C. and Phillips Pass on the British Columbia Alberta Border, a distance of approximately 100 kilometres; and WHEREAS by letter dated May 31, 1983 B.C. Hydro applied to the Commission for amendment to the Certificate permitting substitution, in place of the original route, of Alternative B on DraWing No. 5L94-T07-D33M for the route over Loop Ridge shown on the plans submitted and adopted in the course of the public hearing; and WHEREAS the Commission has reviewed the matter and has also determined that there was no objection from intervenors in the original application to B.C. 2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby grants its consent to the proposed change in route to bypass Loop Ridge and accordingly issues this Order in recognition thereof to amend previously issued Order No. DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this ~~ day of July, 1983.
