Hydro") applied April 1, 1987 pursuant to Section 67 of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act") to introduce an Electric Rate Zone 1-B for the Fort Nelson District; and WHEREAS the Application by B.C. Hydro responds to the January 22, 1986 complaint by the village of Fort Nelson, B.C.; and WHEREAS the proposed Electric Rate Zone I-B embodies new Electric Tariff Rate Schedules which recognize that the Fort Nelson District is served with electricity derived from natural gas-fired generation; and WHEREAS B.C. WHEREAS the Commission has reviewed the Application and is satisfied that, given the necessary long-term natural gas supply required for rate stability, it provides an appropriate response to the January 22, 1986 complaint by the Village of Fort Nelson. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The introduction of a B.C. Hydro Electric Rate Zone I-B is approved effective May 15, 1987. 2.
