("Inland") applied May 30, 1986 for interim and permanent rate relief of approximately 2.3% to become effective July 1, 1986; and WHEREAS the Commission authorizing Inland to increase by approximately 2.3% its rates for natural gas service effective on July 1, 1986, with the interim increase subject to refund with interest; and WHEREAS the Commission has given further consideration to the Application and has now determined an appropriate date for the public hearing thereof. NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders Inland Natural Gas Co. Ltd. as follows: 1. THE PUBLIC HEARING The Commission has set down the Application for public hearing commencing at 9:30 a.m., local time, Monday, September 22, 1986 at the Capri Hotel, 1171 Harvey Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. The Commission will review Revenue Requirement matters and proposed activities related to the merchandising of natural gas appliances. PUBLIC INSPECTION OF THE APPLICATION The Application and supporting material are available for inspection at the Head Office of Inland Natural Gas Co. Ltd., 23rd Floor, 1066 West Hastings Street, Vancouver, B.C., V6E 3G3; and at its offices located at Kamloops, Kelowna, Nelson, Penticton, Prince George, Quesnel, Trail and Vernon, B.C. A copy of the Application and supporting material is also available for inspection at the office of the British Columbia Utilities Commission, 4th Floor, 800 Smithe Street, Vancouver, B.C. INTERVENTIONS Any person intending to attend the hearing to give evidence or cross-examine witnesses should provide written notice, to be received not later than Tuesday, September 2, 1986, to the Commission Secretary, and to the Applicant. The notice should include a brief statement of the nature of their interest in the proceedings. SUBi-.HSSIONS BY INTERESTED PERSONS Any person intending to file a written submission must do so, to be received not later than Tuesday, September 2, 1986, one copy of the submission to the Commission Secretary, and to the Applicant. Inland will arrange for publication not later than Friday, August 8, 1986 of a Notice of Public Hearing, as per attached copy, in one issue each of the Vancouver Sun, the Vancouver Province and such other appropriate news publications as may provide adequate coverage for the service area of the utility. 3. Inland will file with the Commission not later than Friday, August 15, 1986 any additional prepared testimony and supplemental material upon which it proposes to rely. 4.
