Limited ("Northland") applied February 23,1988 pursuant to Section 67(4) of the Utilities Commission Act to amend its Gas Tariff Rate Schedules covering rates charged for natural gas service effective March 1, 1988; and WHEREAS the tariff amendments proposed by Northland result from the National Energy Board Reasons for Decision RH-2-87 concerning Westcoast Transmission Company Limited Rate Application dated December 19, 1986 for Tolls effective January 1, 1988 and from changes to the Gas Commodity Charges as contained in the Gas Sales Agreement between Northland and Peace River Transmission Company Limited, which became effective January 1,1988; and WHEREAS Northland requires the implementation of volume requirements in the Special Contract Rate Schedule for customers consuming gas greater than 96,000 gigajoules per year in order to receive a discount of $0.25 per gigajoule; and WHEREAS the Commission has reviewed the Application and supporting material and finds that the filing of the amendments to the Gas Tariff Rate Schedules is necessary in the public interest. •• • /2 F00'1T>-\ FLOOR, 800 Sf/T>-\:; S T 8EET W,~::;00VER, 8.:: V6Z 2E' CN.ADA TE,_EOH()NE' {£'1~ 63('dP:'+C TELr:.;: 04·54535. 2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders Northland Utilities (B.C.) Limited as follows: 1. The amendments contained in the following Gas Tariff Rate Schedules are approved and accepted for March 1,1988: Fifth Revised Sheet No. 41 First Revised Sheet No. 45 2. An appropriate notice of explanation is to accompany all customer bills containing the new Gas Rates.
