Martin, Commissioner ORDER WHEREAS Inland Natural Gas Co. Ltd. ("Inland"), Columbia Natural Gas Limited ("Columbia") and Fort Nelson Gas Ltd. ("FNG") under Section 60 of the Utilities Commission December 3, 1987 (lithe Application") for an Order of the Lieutenant Governor in Council consenting to the consolidation of Inland, Columbia and FNG to be effective December 31, 1987; and WHEREAS Columbia and FNG, under Section 59 of the Act, applied December 7, 1987 in conjunction with the Application, for an Order approving the disposal of all of the property, franchises, licences, permits, concessions, privileges and rights of Columbia and FNG in order to merge, amalgamate or consolidate the same with Inland on or before December 31, 1987; and WHEREAS on December 14, 1987 Inland, Columbia and FNG amended the Application to seek the Order of the Lieutenant Governor in Council to be effective March 31, 1988: and WHEREAS the Commission notified Inland, Columbia and FNG on December 17, 1987 that the Application could not be dealt with until the matters of Rate Design and the Fording Coal Limited Complaint had been heard, and issued Order No. G-86-87; and WHEREAS on February 19, 1988 Inland, Columbia and FNG further amended the Application to seek the Order of the Lieutenant Governor in Council to be effective December 31, 1988; and TELEX r- :;~:,;:·-~~~i"',:,-· .. -:~~- ._-,~, . ~ d . f' . WHEREAS the Commission has considered the Application and has now determined an appropriate date for the public hearing thereof. NOW THEREFORE the Columbia and FNG as follows: 1. A public hearing of the Application to Consolidate will take place in one of the service area locations of Kamloops, Cranbrook or Fort Nelson on September 13, 1988. The specific location and time will be determined by a future Order of the Commission. 2. Inland, Columbia and FNG will advertise their intention to consolidate, including the date of the public hearing, in local newspapers of its service area and in the Vancouver Sun and Province during the month of June, 1988, and will notify customers by way of a Customer Bill Notice or Insert during the regular billing cycles in the month of April or May, 1988.
