Mcintyre, Chairman; J.D. V. Newlands, Deputy Chairman; and N. Martin, Commissioner o R D E R WHEREAS B.C. Regulation 283/88, passed by Order in Council No. 1407 on July 28, 1988 pursuant to Section 140 of the Utilities Commission Act, authorizes the British Columbia Utilities Commission ("the Commission") to recover its expenses arising in the fiscal year that commenced on April 1, 1988, out of the administration of the Act, to fix and to coHect levies from public utili ties and other persons; and WHEREAS the recovery Commission's approved budget amounting to approximately $2,700,000 for the fiscal year commencing April 1, 1988; and WHEREAS the levy will be based on a charge against each utility's total gross energy sales December 31, 1987 and will be bl11ed by the Commission on a quarterly basis; and WHEREAS the Commission may adjust the fourth quarter billing to utilities to reflect, amongst other matters, qdditional revenue received during the fiscal year ending March 31, 1989. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders that: 1. A levy, at the rate of $0.0012 per $1 of total gross utility energy sales for the caJendar year 1987, shall be paid by and col1ected from the public utilities listed in Section 2, for the recovery of Cornrnission expenses in the fiscal year commencing April 1, 1988.
