("WKP") applied November 30, I 989 pursuant to Section 67 of the Utilities Commission Act (lithe Act") for a Commission Order granting a rate increase of 6.9% applicable uniformly to all classes of service, effective with consumption on and after January I, 1990; and WHEREAS Commission Order No. G-67-89 approved the Applicant's request for increased rates on an interim basis effective January 1, 1990; and WHEREAS the Commission now requires the Application be set down for public hearing. NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders West Kootenay Power Ltd. as follows: 1. A public hearing is to commence at 9:00 a.m. local time, Tuesday, April 3, 1990 at the Uplander Hotel, 1919 Columbia Av enue, Rossland, B.C. 2. WKP will arrange for publication, not later than Friday, February J 6, 1990, of a Notice of Public Hearing, as per attached copy, in one issue of each of the Vancouver Sun, The Province and such other appropriate local news publications as may properly provide adequate Notice to the population in the service area of the utility. • ••/ 2

The Application and supporting material is to be made available for inspection at the Head Office of West Kootenay Power Ltd., Waneta Plaza, 8100 Rock Island Highway, Box 130, Trail, B.C., VIR4L4; and at its District Offices located at Castiegar, Crawford Bay, Creston, Grand Forks, Greenwood, Kaslo, Kelowna, Keremeos, Oliver, Osoyoos, Penticton, Salmo, South Siocan, and Trail, B.C. The Application and supporting material is also available for inspection at the office of the British Columbia Utilities Commission, 6th Floor, 900 Howe Street, Vancouver, B.C. 4. WKP is to distribute the Executive Summary of the Application to Intervenors and Interested Persons as they become registered with the Commission. 5. WKP is to file with the Commission not later than Friday, February 16, 1990, any additional prepared testimony and supplemental material upon which it intends to rely. 6. Intervenors and Interested Persons intending to be present and participate in the public hearing should give written Notice of Intention to do so to the Commission Secretary and to the Applicant, to be received not later than Friday, March 2, 1990. Such Notice should state the na ture of the interest in the proceeding. 7. (IIWKPII) applied November 30, 1989 for a general increase in electrical rates of 6.9% to become effective January I, 1990. The Commission, by Order No. G-67-89, authorized an interim increase of 6.9% over existing rates, subject to refund with appropriate interest, to be confirmed at a public hearing. THE PUBLIC HEARING The Commission has set down the Application for public hearing to commence at 9:00 a.m. local time, Tuesday, April 3, 1990 at the Uplander Hotel, 1919 Columbia Avenue, Rossland, B.C. The Division of the Commission named to review the Application will be comprised of the following Commission members: Mr. J.D.V. Newlands, Deputy Chairman, and Chairman of the Division Mr. W.M.
