LeIgh ton, Commissioner o R D E R WHEREAS British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority ("B.C. Hydro") filed on October 10, 1989, pursuant to Section 67(2) of the Utilities Commission Act, an Application to Close the Availability of Residential and General Dual Fuel Interruptible Service ("Electric Plus") provided by Rate Schedules 1105, 1205, 1206 and 1207; and WHEREAS the Electric Plus rate schedules, approved by Commission Orders No. G-63-87 and G-68-88, contain a provision stating: "Due to the limited amount of surplus interruptible energy available for supply under this rate schedule the Authority may at any time apply to the British Columbia Utilities Commission to close availability." WHEREAS the Commission requested, and was provided by B.C. Hydro, information concerning the program and the lack of surplus interruptible energy available; and WHEREAS Electric Plus service will continue to be provided to existing customers of Rate Schedules 1105, 1205, 1206 and 1207 with respect to equipment served under those schedules; and r;:r 1"'\(")0 nl'V'\ UI"'\I;AI,.. ......... ---- ••••. --. BalTl~H COLUMBiA UTILITIES COMM'SSION 2 ORDER NUMBER G-3-90 WHEREAS the Commission has reviewed the Application and supporting documentation and is satisfied that the closing of the availability of Electric Plus rate schedules is appropriate and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders B.C. Hydro as follows: 1. B.C. Hydro's October 10, 1989 Application to close the availability of Electric Plus rate schedules is approved, effective January 15, 1990. 2. B.C. Hydro is to process customer applications for Electric Plus service received before January 15, 1990 so long as projects for which applications have been accepted are completed and connected for Electric Plus service by April 30, 1990. 3. B.C. Hydro is to contact and inform all such Applicants of the existence of this deadline as soon as possible. 4. Commission will approve amended Electric Tariff rate schedules, subject to timely filing by B.C. Hydro.
