("HVES") applied May 31, 1990, pursuant to Section 67(2) of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act"), for a Commission Order granting a rate increase of 7.32</:. per kW.h to all customers; and WHEREAS Commission Order No. G-51-90 approved an interim increase of 3.70</:' per kW.h, effective July 1, 1990 and required HVES to notify all customers by way of a customer notice; and WHEREAS the Commission, following receipt of written customer complaints, has now determined that a public hearing of the Application is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders HVES as follows: 1. A public hearing is to commence at 9:00 a.m. local time, Monday, September 24, 1990 at the office of the British Columbia Utili ties Commission, Sixth Floor, 900 Howe Street, Vancouver, B.C. 2. HVES, by way of direct mailing, will send all customers a copy of the attached Notice of Public Hearing no later than August 10, 1990, and will post the Notice on local community service bulletin boards in order to provide adequa te notice to the population in the service area. 3. PUBLIC INSPECTION OF THE APPLICATION The Application and supporting material are available for inspection at the Head Office of HVES, at the Hemlock Valley Resort Office, Hemlock Valley, B.C. Notification of HVES can be made at Box 7, Site 2, R.R.II 1, Agassiz, B.C. VOM 1AO. The Application and supporting material are also available for inspection at the office of the British Columbia Utilities Commission, Sixth Floor, 900 Howe Street, Vancouver, B.C. The Application will be distributed by the Applicant to Intervenors as they become registered with the Commission. INTERVENTIONS Any person intending to be present at the public hearing and to give evidence or cross-examine witnesses should provide written notice, to be received not la ter than September 3, 1990, to the Commission Secretary and to the Applicant. The notice should include a brief statement of the nature of the interest in the proceedings. SUBMISSIONS BY INTERESTED PERSONS Any person not already having filed a written submission must do so by September 10, 1990, one copy of the submission to be sent to the Commission Secretary and one copy to the Applicant.
