McIntyre, ) Chairman; ) J.D.V. Newlands, ) March 28, 1991 Deputy Chairman; and ) N. Martin, ) Commissioner ) ORDER WHEREAS: A. On March 3, 1991, Hemlock Valley Electrical Services Limited ("HVES") applied to the Commission for approval of amendments to its Electric Tariff, Terms and Conditions to allow for the recovery of the Federal Government Goods and Services Tax and to permit the charging of interest on overdue accounts in conformity with the Canada Interest Act; and B. The taxation amendment will allow HVES to include in its Electric Tariff, references that will enable the utility to lawfully collect such taxes or assessments that may be levied by any competent taxing authority; and C. The interest rate amendment makes reference to the effective annual rate of interest on overdue accounts; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Application and finds that approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1.
