Swanson, Q.C., ) Corn missioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS Hemlock Valley Electrical Services Ltd. ("HVES") notified the Commission on October 4, 1989 that there was a change in shareholder control of its parent company, Hemlock Valley Resorts Inc. ("HVRI"); and WHEREAS HVES also inforrned the Commission that, for income tax purposes, HVRI changed its year-end to April 30th; and WHEREAS on January 4, 1990 the Commission advised HVES that, pursuant to Section 61 of the Utilities Commission Act (lithe Act"), approval of the acquisition of shares or control of the utility is required; and WHEREAS Mr. Joseph Peters, President of HVES, formally applied on March 8, 1990 for Commission approval of the increase in control of the utility; and W,HEREAS the Commission has reviewed the Application and is satisfied that approval o.f the increase in control is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as .follows: I. Pursuant to Section 61 of the Act, the Commission hereby approves the acquisition of control of the outstanding common shares of HVES by Mr. Joseph Peters. 2. The Commission approves the change in fiscal year-end from May 31 st to April 30th and will accept future Annual Reports on this basis.
