Newlands, ) Deputy Chairman; and ) N. Martin, ) June 27, 1991 Commissioner ) ORDER WHEREAS: A. On June 24, 1991 British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (flB.e. Hydro fl ) applied to the Commission for approval of a Supplementary Electricity Supply Agreement, dated July 1, 1991, (flthe Agreement fl ) with Tenneco Canada Inc. (flTenneco fl ); and B. The Agreement provides for an increase in the supply of electricity to Tenneco at its sodium chlorate plant in North Vancouver, B.C. from 72,000 kVA to 110,000 kVA for a three month period commencing July 1, 1991; and C. The Supplementary Electricity Supply Agreement requires Commission approval to have the effect of amending the demand level and contract term pursuant to Rate Schedule 1821- General Service - Transmission (5,000 kW and over) and; D. The Commission has considered the Agreement and is satisfied that it properly conserves the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: The Commission approves the Supplementary Electricity Supply Agreement dated July 1, 1991 between B.C. Hydro and Tenneco for an increase in the supply of electricity from 72,000 kVA to 110,000 kV A at the customer's sodium chlorate plant in North Vancouver, B.C.
