McIntyre, ) Chairman; ) J.D.V. Newlands, ) Deputy Chairman; and ) August 26, 1991 N. Martin, ) Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS: A. On August 23, 1991 British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority ("B.C. Hydro") applied for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity ("CPCN"), pursuant to Section 51 (3) of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act"), to construct and operate a 70 metre, 138 kilovolt transmission line extension off its Aiyansh to Stewart 138 kilovolt transmission line; and B. The project will facilitate the transmission of electric power from the integrated grid system to Elsworth Bros. Logging Ltd.'s logging mill at Meziadin, B.c.; and C. The Commission has reviewed the Application and has determined that the construction and operation of the proposed 138 kilovolt transmission line extension is necessary for the public convenience and properly conserves the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: A CPCN is granted to B.C. Hydro to construct and operate a 70 metre 138 kilovolt transmission line extension off its Aiyansh to Stewart 138 kilovolt transmission line at Meziadin, B.C., to serve the Elsworth Bros. Logging Ltd. mill. DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Col umbia, this day of August, 1991. John G.
