Martin, ) March 7, 1991 Commissioner; and ) W.M. Swanson, Q.c., ) Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS: A. On November 21, 1990 BC Gas Inc. ("BC Gas") filed with the Commission for approval, under Section 85.3 of the Utilities Commission Act, an Energy Supply Contract with Superior Propane Inc. ("Superior Propane") for propane supply at the City of Revelstoke; and B. On January 7, 1991 BC Gas responded to a December 18, 1990 Commission Information Request and provided justification for the choice of Superior Propane as product supplier to the Revelstoke underground propane grid system; and C. The Commission has considered the Superior Propane Energy Supply Contract for the City of Revelstoke and finds that approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission hereby orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves the November 1, 1990 Energy Supply Contract between BC Gas and Superior Propane, with pricing to be on a spot basis, for the 1990-91 contract year. 2. BC Gas is to conduct a competitive bidding process for the supply of propane to the City of Revelstoke in future years. 3. BC Gas is required to provide a report to the Commission by May 1, 1991 which details alternative bids for the supply, transportation and management of the Revelstoke propane requirements for the contract year commencing September 1, 1991.
