On June 14, 1991 Alberta Power Limited ("APL") applied to the British Columbia Utilities Commission for exemption from provisions of the Utilities Commission Act (lithe Act") other than Part 2 and Section 114, covering the sale of power from a 25 kV distribution line located at Ring Border, B.C.; and B. The 25 kV distribution line is required to serve the Canadian Hunter Exploration Ltd. (Canadian Hunter") gas plant located less than 100 meters from the B.C./Alberta border on Canadian Hunter property and is covered by an Electric Service Agreement dated October 1, 1990; and C. The Commission has considered the Application and is satisfied that an Order exempting APL from certain sections of the Act properly conserves the public convenience and interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: The sale of power from a 25 kV distribution line from APL to Canadian Hunter pursuant to an Electric Service Agreement dated October 1, 1990 at Ring Border, B.C. is exempt from the Act other than Part 2 and Section 114. ~, DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this I day of August, 1991.
