On November 28, 1990 Princeton Light and Power Company, Limited ("PLp l ) filed an Application for a general increase in rates of 3.289 percent and to pass-through West Kootenay Power Ltd.'s ("WKP") increased rates for power supplied, both effective January 1, 1991; and B. On December 28, 1990 PLP amended its Application and provided the Commission with additional information in support of its general rate increase and confIrmed that the increase requested would provide it with a return on rate base and equity that was previously confirmed by Commission Decision and Order No. 0-27-90 dated April 12, 1990; and C. The Commission has considered the Application and is satisfIed that it properly conserves the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves an increase in Electric Tariff rates for PLP as a result of the pass-through of increased costs of power purchased from WKP, effective January 1, 1991. The pass-through is required to be in accordance with the Commission's April 12, 1990 Decision approving PLP's Ten Stage Plan of revenue redistribution. 2. The Commission approves a general interim rate increase for PLP of 3.6 percent effective January 1, 1991 pursuant to Section 67(4) of the Utilities Commission Act. 3. The Commission will accept, subject to timely fIling, amended Electric Tariff rate schedules that embody the interim and general rate increases approved by this Order. 4. PLP will provide all customers with an appropriate notice of explanation of the interim and general rate increases.
