Swanson, Q.C. ) February 28, 1991 Commissioner; and ) K.L. Hall, ) Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS: A. On January 15, 1991 BC Gas Inc. ("BC Gas") applied to the Commission for approval of a gas supply contract with BP Resources Canada Limited ("BP") pursuant to Rules Respecting Energy Supply Contracts ("the Rules") and Section 85.3 of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act"); and B. The Gas Purchase Contract dated December 1, 1990 provides for BP to supply BC Gas with a long-term gas supply of 1,243 10 3 m 3 per day from November 1, 1991 to October 31,2006; and C. The Commission has reviewed the Gas Supply Agreement and supporting material and is satisfied that approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: The Gas Purchase Contract dated December 1, 1990 providing for the supply of gas from BP to BC Gas for a term of 15 years, is approved and accepted pursuant to the Rules and Section 85.3 of the Act.
