Newlands, ) Deputy Chainnan; and ) June 2, 1992 N. Martin, ) Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS: A. On May 28, 1992 Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. ("PNG") applied to the Commission for approval of a spot market gas purchase agreement, dated May 27, 1992, with Canadian Hydrocarbons Marketing Inc. ("the Agreement") for an open period commencing June 1, 1992 pursuant to Rules Respecting Energy Supply Contracts and Section 85.3 of the Utilities Commission Act; and B. The Agreement will provide PNG with 182.0 10 3 M3/day of gas for the month of June 1992 for delivery at Westcoast Energy Inc.'s Compressor Station No.2. C. The Commission has reviewed the Agreement and is satisfied that conditional approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1 . The Agreement is approved for the month of June 1992 only. 2. The Commission will require PNG to provide detailed justification for the pricing adjustment mechanism contained in Section 5 of the Agreement before considering approvals beyond the month of June 1992.
