IN THE MA TIER OF the Utilities Commission Act, S.B.C. 1980, c. 60, as amended and IN THE MAT IER OF an Application by Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. BEFORE: J.G. McIntyre, ) Chainnan; and ) N. Martin, ) November 7, 1991 Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS: A. Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. ("PNG") applied by letter dated November 1, 1991 for Commission approval to set up a deferral account to capture changes in gas prices from its suppliers that became effective on November 1, 1991; and B. On February 27, 1991, Commission Decision and Order No. G-23-91 approved rate design changes for PNG customers to become effective January 1, 1992; and C. Westcoast Energy Inc. demand toll charges are expected to be changed effective January 1, 1992; and D. The Commission confirms that the foregoing new gas price changes would be better reflected if they occurred on January 1, 1992. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: The changes to gas prices from PNG's suppliers that became effective November 1, 1991, are to be set up in a cost of gas deferral account with such balances attracting interest calculated at the average prime rate of the utility's principal bank.
