On July 21, 1992, BC Gas Inc. ("BC Gas") applied to the Commission, pursuant to Section 67(4) of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act"), to amend on a permanent basis effective August 1, 1992 its tariffs in order to pass-through to all its customers, except for those in Lower Mainland Schedules 2501,2502 and Inland Schedules 10 and 12, an increase of one percent in the Corporation Income Tax rate effective January 1, 1992, an increase in 1992 non-residential property taxes and a 0.3 percent Provincial Corporation Capital Tax effective April 1, 1992; and B. On September 15 and 17, 1992 BC Gas provided the Commission with amended Applications and revised calculations for its 1992 Corporation Income Tax, property taxes and Corporation Capital Tax as a result of the impact of the Commission's August 5, 1992 Decision on its Revenue Requirements and further requested that rates to all the customers in the Lower Mainland, Inland, Columbia and Fort Nelson Divisions including Lower Mainland Schedules 2501, 2502 and Inland Schedules 10 and 12 be amended effective as of October 1, 1992 and be increased sufficiently to recover all the tax changes in the amount of approximately $3.2 million during the months of October through December 1992; and C. On October 16, 1992 BC Gas applied to withdraw the effective date of the previous applications for a pass-through of provincial and municipal tax changes and requested the Commission review the third revision of the Application with an effective date of November 1, 1992; and D. The Commission has reviewed the third revised Application and supporting documentation and is satisfied that approval of an increase in natural gas rates to BC Gas Customers effective November 1, 1992 is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 67(4) of the Act, the Commission approves for BC Gas amended Gas Tariff Rate Schedules that will pass-through the increase of 1 percent in the Corporation Income Tax rate, the increase in municipal non-residential property taxes and the 0.3 percent Provincial Corporation Capital Tax to all customers of the Lower Mainland, Inland, Columbia and Fort Nelson Divisions, effective November 1, 1992. . .. /2 SIXTH FLOOR, 900 HOWE STREET, VANCOUVER, B,C, V6Z 2N3, CANADA,

The Commission will accept, subject to timely filing by BC Gas, Gas Tariff Rate Schedules amended in accordance with the terms of this Order, effective with gas consumption on and after November 1, 1992. 3. BC Gas is to inform customers of the rate increase effective November 1, 1992 and its effect on monthly gas bills.
