Newlands, ) Deputy Chainnan; and ) February 19, 1992 N. Martin, ) Commissioner ) o R D E R WHEREAS: A. On January 8, 1992 the Commission, by Order No. G-9-92, approved for Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. ("PNG") a deferral account to account for changes in Westcoast Energy Inc. ("WEI") tolls on an interim basis effective, January 1, 1992; and B. On February 18, 1992 PNG advised the Commission that the Order did not provide for any recovery of interest in the deferral account balances; and C. The Commission has reviewed the submission and finds that the balances in the PNG deferral account for WEI tolls should include an interest factor applied to outstanding balances. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Paragraph 2 of Commission Order No. G-9-92 is cancelled and is replaced as follows: The Commission approves for PNG the use of a cost of gas deferral account to account for interim changes in WEI tolls on an interim basis, effective with consumption on and after January 1, 1992, with such balances attracting interest calculated at the average prime rate of the utility's principal bank. 2.
