BEFORE: M.K. Jaccard, Chairperson; and ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chairperson ) June 3, 1993 WHEREAS: A. On May 14, 1993 BC Gas Inc. ("BC Gas") applied to the Commission for approval in principle of a tender by Imperial Oil Limited for the supply of liquid propane to the underground distribution grid system at Revelstoke, B.C. covering the period September 1, 1993 to August 31, 1995 in accordance with Commission Order No. G-26-91; and B. Commission Order No. G-46-92 approved for BC Gas the Energy Supply Agreement with IGC Propane covering the supply of liquid propane to the Revelstoke grid system for the year ending August 31, 1993; and C. The Commission has considered the details of the supply of liquid propane to BC Gas and is satisfied that approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves the BC Gas Application covering the supply of liquid propane by Imperial Oil Limited to the underground grid system for the period September 1, 1993 to August 31, 1995, subject to timely filing by BC Gas of an Energy Supply Agreement in accordance with the tender. 2. BC Gas is to report to the Commission on its competitive bid process for propane supply at Revelstoke for the contract commencing September 1, 1995, and to include an evaluation of the alternatives of spot price purchases, fixed price purchases and a combination thereof.
