Jaccard, Chairperson; and ) K.L. Hall, Commissioner ) October 27, 1994 o R D E R WHEREAS: A. On September 29, 1994 BC Gas Utility Ltd. ("BC Gas") applied to the Commission for approval of deferral accounts regarding certain costs related to its Integrated Resource Plan ("IRP") that had not been provided for in the Operating and Maintenance ("O&M") costs contained in the Commission's June 16, 1994 Phase 1 Decision; and B. BC Gas advises that the four IRP deferral accounts covering IRP Modeling incremental O&M costs, Residential Thermostat Pilot Program, IRP printing costs and Demand-Side Management ("DSM") areas for future study, are required in order for the utility to proceed effectively with its IRP initiative. NOW THEREFORE the Commission has reviewed the Application and orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for BC Gas a deferral account covering the costs associated with the Residential Programmable Thermostat Pilot program to a maximum amount of $115,450 for the 1994 and 1995 fiscal years. 2. The Commission defers its decision on the other IRP deferral accounts until such time as it can properly consider and review the proposed programs, The Commission will make its decision by way of a future Commission Order.
