Jaccard, Chairperson; and ) Fe. Leighton, Commissioner ) July 21, 1994 ORDER WHEREAS: A. The Commission, by Order No. G-128-93, previously approved an interim increase of 5.5 percent, effective January 1, 1994, in order for The Corporation of the City of Nelson ("the City") to pass along the increases faced due to forecast load growth, major capital expenditures and the interim awarded to West Kootenay Power Ltd. ("WKP"); and B. On July 11, 1994 the City applied to the Commission for approval of Electrical Utility Regulatory Amendment By-Law No. 2655,1 994 ("the By-Law") to reduce the current interim rates of the City's Electrical Utility by 1.] percent from January 1, 1994 and to have the rate of 4.4 percent made permanent; and C. The reduction in rates is to reflect the reduced rate awarded to WKP in the Commission's June 17, 1994 Revenue Requirements Decision; and D. The By-Law maintains the rate differential approved by Commission Decision and Order No. G-76-83; and E. The Commission has reviewed the Application and finds that the decrease in rates is in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission accepts for filing for the City, effective January 1, 1994, Electrical Utility Regulatory Amendment By Law No. 2655, 1994, which incorporates a general increase of 4.4 percent over existing rates to all customers, DATED at the City of Vancouver, in the Province of British Columbia, this day of July, 1994.
