BEFORE: M.K. Jaccard, Chairperson; ) K.L. Hall, Commissioner; and ) June 16, 1994 F.C. Leighton, Commissioner ) ORDER WHEREAS: A. Pursuant to Commission Order No. G-101-93, BC Gas Utility Ltd. ("BC Gas") filed its 1994 Columbia Division Industrial Rate Design Application on February 23, 1994, and filed an update to the Application on April 22, 1994 ("the Updated Application"); and B. The Updated Application seeks approval effective January 1, 1994 for the terms, conditions and charges resulting from the negotiations with BC Gas' Columbia Division large industrial customers as contained in Rate Schedule 22B - Large Volume Transportation Service (Closed); and C. Commission staff issued an information request to BC Gas dated May 6, 1994 which sought clarification of certain aspects of the Updated Application related to the charges proposed for Elkview Coal Corporation; and D. A response to the Information Request was received from BC Gas on May 30, 1994, and comments were received from Elkview Coal Corporation on June 2, 1994; and E. The Commission has reviewed the Updated Application and subsequent information filed and finds that approval is necessary and in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders BC Gas as follows: 1. The Updated Application is approved effective January 1, 1994. 2. Rate Schedule 22B - Large Volume Transportation Service (Closed) for the Columbia Service Area will be accepted subject to filing in a timely manner in final tariff format.
