Barr, Deputy Chair; and ) K.L. Hall, Commissioner CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY WHEREAS: A. On March 22, 1995 Kanelk Transmission Company Limited (flKanelk Utilities Commission Act, applied for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (flCPCN reroute 1.4 km of its 138 kV transmission line on lands privately owned by Elkview Coal Corporation at Sparwood, B.C.; and B. The rerouting of structures 824 to 832 of transmission line No. 777L is required to make room for a larger settling pond at Elkview Coal's coal mining operation; and e. The Commission has reviewed the Application and has determined that the rerouting application should be approved. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: A CPCN is granted to Kanelk to reroute 1.4 km of its 777L, 138 kV transmission line and structures 824 to 832 located on Elkview Coal Corporation's property at Sparwood, B.C.
