Jaccard, Chairperson; and ) K.L. Hall, Commissioner ) September 7, 1995 ORDER WHEREAS: A. Section 140 of the Utilities Commission Act ("the Act") authorizes the British Columbia Utilities Commission ("the Commission") to recover its expenses arising in the fiscal year commencing April 1, 1994, out of the administration of the Act and to fix and collect levies from public utilities and other persons; and B. The recovery of expenses is based on the Commission's approved 1995/96 budget and is net of 1994/95 over-recoveries; and C. The levy will be based on a charge against each utility's total gross energy equivalent sales for the calendar year ending December 31, 1994 and will be billed by the Commission on a quarterly basis; and D. The Commission may adjust the fourth quarter fiscal year billing to utilities to reflect, amongst other matters, additional revenue received, or expenses incurred, during the fiscal year ending March 31, 1996. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. A levy, at the rate of $0.006967617 per GJ equivalent of energy sold for the calendar year 1994, shall be paid by and collected from the public utilities (listed below), for the recovery of Commission expenses in the fiscal year commencing April 1, 1995. 2. The following public utilities shall be billed and shall pay to the Commission the levy fixed for the fiscal year commencing April 1, 1995 by quarterly installments: Electric Utilities British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority Princeton Light and Power Company, Limited West Kootenay Power Ltd.
