In its decision dated June 25, 1996, the Commission approved the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority's ("B.C. Hydro") Wholesale Transmission Application subject to several changes; and B. By way of letter dated February 17, 1997, B.C. Hydro filed with the Commission for approval a second Wholesale Transmission Services Application in response to these determinations; and C. B.C. Hydro included in that letter a request for interim approval of certain portions of the Application; and D. By way of Commission Order No. G-31-97, the Commission granted interim approval of those elements requested by B.C. Hydro with the exception of matters relating to the auction proposal; and E. By way of Commission Order No. G-34-97, the Commission asked Registered Intervenors to the scheduled Retail Access and Unbundled Tariffs Hearing to comment on the appropriate disposition of the B.C. Hydro Wholesale Transmission Services Application by April 11, 1997; and F. The Commission received submissions from numerous parties. .../2
2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. A hearing of the B.C. Hydro Wholesale Transmission Services Application is required and interested parties are asked to register their intent to participate with the Commission Secretary by May 1, 1997. 2. A pre-hearing conference to receive submissions regarding the regulatory timetable for this Application is set down to commence at 8:30 a.m. on MayÊ2, 1997 in the Commission Hearing Room, 6th Floor -900ÊHowe Street, Vancouver, B.C. Parties will be asked to consider the use of workshops and Alternate Dispute Resolution sessions as part of the hearing process. 3. A further Order of the Commission on timing and procedural matters will follow the pre-hearing conference.
