On DecemberÊ21, 1995 the Commission, by Order No.ÊG-116-95, approved for British Columbia Hydro and Power AuthorityÊ(ÒB.C.ÊHydroÓ) the renewal of Electric Tariff Supplement No.Ê1 for the Corporation of the City of New WestminsterÊ(ÒtheÊCityÓ) covering the supply of bulk electricity for the five-year period commencing JanuaryÊ1, 1995; and B. On FebruaryÊ21, 1997 B.C.ÊHydro applied to the Commission for interim approval of a FebruaryÊ14, 1997 Letter of Understanding, covering the supply of Electricity Products and Services Agreement, to reduce the fixed price of the Agreement for the remaining term of the contract; and C. On FebruaryÊ28, 1997 the Commission, by Letter No.ÊL-9-97, asked B.C.ÊHydro for additional information relating to the proposed Agreement which B.C.ÊHydro responded to on MarchÊ21, 1997; and D. The Commission has reviewed the proposed amendment to the rates charged under Electric Tariff Supplement No.Ê1 and finds that its approval is required. . . . /2
ORDER NO. G-44-97 2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission grants interim approval for B.C.ÊHydro of the FebruaryÊ14, 1997 Letter of Understanding with the City, effective March 1, 1997. 2. B.C.ÊHydro is to provide the Commission with a fully executed copy of the final agreement with the City, in standard Tariff Supplement format, for inclusion in the appropriate Electric Tariff Binder, upon completion of negotiations. In the event that negotiations are not completed within three months from the date of this Order, then B.C. Hydro is to file the February 14, 1997 Letter of Understanding as a Tariff Supplement.
