The Commission, in approving BCÊGas Utility Ltd.ÕsÊ(ÒBCÊGasÓ) 1995 Integrated Resource Plan by way of negotiated settlement, approved demand-side management ("DSM") projects and spending levels for the 1996/97 Residential Energy Retrofit ProgramÊ(ÒtheÊProgramÓ); and B. The Program achieved actual results by way of a phased implementation that included market testing of homes, pilot program and a program launch at various locations in the province; and C. On JulyÊ14, 1997 BCÊGas applied to the Commission for approval to terminate the Program effective AugustÊ1, 1997. BCÊGas indicated that the Program will be carried on by its non-regulated businesses and will relieve ratepayers from further responsibility and obligations under the program; and D. The Commission has considered the application and is satisfied that approval is in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission approves for BCÊGas the termination of the Residential Energy Retrofit Program effective AugustÊ1, 1997.
