In its Decision dated June 25, 1996, the Commission approved the British Columbia Hydro and Power AuthorityÊ("B.C.ÊHydro") Wholesale Transmission ServicesÊ("WTS") Application subject to several changes; and B. On February 17, 1997, B.C.ÊHydro filed with the Commission for approval a second WTS Application in response to these determinations and requested interim approval of certain portions of its Application; and C. Commission Order No. G-31-97 granted interim approval to the Application with the exception of those elements relating to the auction proposal; and D. Commission Order No. G-53-97 established that the disposition of the B.C. Hydro WTS Application would be through negotiated settlement and Alternate Dispute Resolution procedures; and E. On June 20, 1997, B.C. Hydro submitted amendments to its WTS Application and requested that the revised Tariff Supplement No.Ê30, as well as Rate Schedules 3000 to 3010, be approved on an interim basis, effective August 1, 1997; and F. On July 3, 1997, Commission Order No.ÊG-77-97 granted interim approval but stated that the disposition of the Application would be through a public hearing, the exact timing of which would be the subject of a future Commission Order; and . . ./2

On JulyÊ16, 1997, the Commission set down the WTS Application for public hearing to commence NovemberÊ17, 1997 in Vancouver and approved a Regulatory Timetable; and H. On OctoberÊ10, 1997, the Commission requested comments from Intervenors on a request by the Industrial Customers for an adjournment of the WTS public hearing; and I. The Commission received comments from eight Intervenors, seven of which supported the Industrial Customers' request for an adjournment of the public hearing; and J. The Commission has reviewed the request and finds that a delay in the commencement of proceedings is in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The public hearing into B.C.ÊHydro's WTS Application is adjourned and rescheduled for 9:00Êa.m. on JanuaryÊ19, 1998 in the Commission Hearing Room, 6th Floor, 900 Howe Street, Vancouver, B.C. 2. The Regulatory Timetable set out by Order No.ÊG-83-97 and subsequently amended by Letter No.ÊL-60-97 is revised and set out in AppendixÊA to this Order. 3. The date for Intervenors to file evidence into the WTS Application is suspended to allow B.C.ÊHydro to file its information responses by OctoberÊ31, 1997. 4. B.C.ÊHydro is to publish a notice of the amendments to the public hearing and Regulatory Timetable in the same newspapers covered by Order No.ÊG-83-97 as soon as possible.
