On FebruaryÊ27, 1997 the Commission issued Order No.ÊG-21-97 approving the Pacific Northern Gas Ltd.Ê(ÒPNGÓ) 1997 Revenue Requirements Application Negotiated Settlement which resulted from the involvement of Commission staff, Applicant and Registered Intervenors. Two intervenors did not agree with the inclusion of the Strike Adjustment Clause in the cost of service and the Commission, pursuant to Section 98 of the Utilities Commission Act, agreed to review that matter as a complaint under SectionÊ98 of the Utilities Commission Act; and B. On March 4, 1997 the Commission provided copies of a complaint received from the Comox Valley Energy Research Group and Local 298 of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada to all Registered Intervenors, and requested written submissions be provided to the Commission by March 14, 1997; and C. The Commission received submissions from the utility and certain intervenors and, on MarchÊ19, 1997, requested the Comox Valley Energy Research Group to reply by AprilÊ4, 1997; and D. On AprilÊ3, 1997 the Commission received the reply comment from the Comox Valley Energy Research Group; and E. The Commission has reviewed the evidence submitted and finds that the PNG Strike Adjustment Clause is appropriate. .../2
2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders PNG as follows: 1. The Strike Adjustment Clause in the amount of $146,000 for the 1997 PNG Cost of Service is confirmed. The Commission finds that this strike adjustment clause will be of overall benefit to utility customers. 2. The Complaint by the Comox Valley Energy Research Group is therefore dismissed.
