On September 2, 1997, pursuant to Section 61 of the Utilities Commission Act, West Kootenay Power Ltd. ("WKP") applied to the Commission for approval to amend its Rate Schedules in accordance with its Rate Design and New Service Options Application ("the Application"); and B. Commission Order No. G-97-97, directed that a Pre-Hearing Conference on WKP's Application be held on Thursday, October 9, 1997, at which time procedural matters, including the appropriate process and schedule for disposing of the Application, would be discussed; and C. The Pre-Hearing Conference was held as directed; and D. Commission Order No. G-104-97 set down a Regulatory Timetable for the initial disposition of the Application but did not set down either a public hearing or an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ÒADRÓ) process. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders that the disposition of the Application will proceed through the use of an ADR process, commencing at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, DecemberÊ10, 1997 at WKPÕs Trail Office. If required, the ADR process will continue on December 11 and December 12, 1997, at the same location. A final determination on the length and form of a public hearing will be the subject of a future Commission Order.
