V6E3G3 Dear Mr. Masuhara: Re: Accident Reports by Gas Utilities Section 56 (c) of the Utilities Commission Act The Commission has recently reviewed the filing requirements with respect to accident reporting under Section 56 (c) of the Utilities Commission Act and asks that BC Gas provide the following reports: 1. Where a gas-related incident has resulted in a death or serious injury, the utility shall advise the Commission verbally of such incident within 48 hours of the occurrence. 2. On completion of the review of the incident, the utility shall provide the Commission with a copy of their report to the Gas Safety Branch or Workers Compensation Board.
