Sanderson Lawson Lundell Lawson & McIntosh Barristers & Solicitors 1600 Cathedral Place 925 West Georgia Street Vancouver, B.C. V6C 3L2 Dear Mr. Sanderson: Re: British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority Wholesale Transmission Services Application Reauest for Pre-Hearing Conference The Commission has reviewed your letter dated September 30, 1997, in which you indicate your concerns regarding recent revisions to the regulatory timetable associated with the above-noted hearing and request that a pre-hearing conference be convened during the week of October 6, 1997 to identify the primary concerns of intervenors and to develop a plan to respond to these concerns in as efficient a manner as possible. Although the Commission recognizes your concerns regarding the revisions to the timetable, these issues were fully considered when the Commission met to determine if revisions to the original timetable were required. The Commission is also concerned that the numerous delays in processing this application since February may be prejudicial to some parties and the existing interim has been outstanding for an extended period of time. Accordingly, the Commission declines to establish a pre-hearing conference as requested.
