Ostergaard, Chair ) L.R. Barr, Deputy Chair P. G. Bradley, Commissioner O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On July 20, 1999, The British Columbia Public Interest Advocacy Centre (“BCPIAC”) applied for a participant assistance cost award on behalf of the Consumers Association of Canada (B.C. Branch) (“CAC (BC) et al.”) for its participation in the proceedings concerning the Bypass Rate Guidelines Application of British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (“B.C. Hydro”); and B. The Commission has determined that the participation of BCPIAC on behalf of CAC (BC) et al. in the proceedings warrants reimbursement in accordance with the Commissions approved guidelines; and C. The Commission has reviewed the application with regard to the criteria and rates set out in Commission Order No. G-97-98. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 118(1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission awards funds to BCPIAC in the amount of $4,108.40 for its participation in the above proceedings. 2. B.C. Hydro is directed to reimburse BCPIAC for the total amount awarded in a timely fashion.
