Ostergaard, Chair ) B.L. Clemenhagen, Commissioner ) May 13, 1999 K.L. Hall, Commissioner ) F.C. Leighton, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On May 4, 1999, Centra Gas British Columbia Inc. (“Centra Gas”) applied to the Commission for approval of an Industrial Gas Sales Agreement with Tayco Paving Company (“Tayco”) (a division of O.K. Industries Ltd.), that will supply gas to Taycos asphalt production facilities located in Cumberland, B.C. through a take-or-pay contract over a ten-year period; and B. Centra Gas advised the Commission that the customer will be charged a rate based on the LGS-13 rate with a 10 percent discount for summer volumes from April 1 to October 31 and a 10 percent premium for winter consumption from November 1 to March 31. Tayco is required to consume 60,000 GJs over the ten-year period with a minimum annual volume of 6,000 GJs; and C. Centra Gas included a draft rate schedule based on the Industrial Gas Sales Agreement and requested an effective date for the rate schedule and the Industrial Gas Sales Agreement that was the later of April 14, 1999 or the date that gas is first delivered to Tayco; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Industrial Gas Sales Agreement with Tayco and finds that it should be approved. . . ./2
2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for Centra Gas the April 21, 1999 Industrial Gas Sales Agreement with Tayco for service to its Cumberland, B.C. asphalt plant, effective April 14, 1999. 2. Centra Gas is to file a Gas Tariff Rate Schedule consistent with the Industrial Gas Sales Agreement in a timely manner.
