(“Port Alice Gas”) filed a 2001 Revenue Requirements and Rate Methodology Application (“the Application”), pursuant to Sections 58 and 91 of the Utilities Commission Act (“the Act”), for approval to establish its Schedule of Rates on an interim and permanent basis effective November 1, 2000; and B. The Application proposed to establish an approved revenue requirement for the 2001 fiscal year ending October 31, 2001; and C. The Application also proposed to recover the approved 2001 fiscal year revenue deficiency using methodology described in the Application; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Application and finds that the existing rates should be made interim, effective December 1, 2000; and E. Port Alice Gas provided customers with a notice describing the Application; and F. The Commission finds that a Regulatory Agenda for a written public hearing is required to be established. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves the proposed methodology for calculating the cost of propane for billing purposes and recovery of the 2001 fiscal year revenue deficiency on an interim basis, effective December 1, 2000, subject to refund with interest after a hearing. 2. The Commodity Fee will be billed at the higher of the $11.7971/GJ November 2000 rate or the actual cost of propane for the month as calculated in accordance with the approved Propane Tariff. 3. Port Alice Gas shall provide a copy of this Order, by facsimile if possible, to all previous Intervenors and Interested Parties no later than Tuesday, December 19, 2000. Port Alice Gas shall also post a copy of this Order in various Village centres and give notice through other community resources, in order to adequately notify its customers. . . ./2

As set out in the Regulatory Agenda attached as Appendix A, Intervenors and Interested Parties should inform the Commission, in writing, by Friday, January 5, 2001, of their intention to actively intervene in the proceeding, or become Interested Parties. Registered Intervenors will receive from Port Alice Gas copies of the Application, all correspondence and filed documentation. Interested Parties will receive copies of all Orders issued. 5. Copies of information requests from Intervenors about issues concerning the Application should be filed with the Commission and Port Alice Gas by Wednesday, January 10, 2001. 6. Port Alice Gas shall respond to all information requests no later than Wednesday, January 17, 2001. 7. Intervenors may submit written submissions on the Application to the Commission and to Port Alice Gas by Friday, January 26, 2001. 8. Port Alice Gas shall reply to the written submissions of Intervenors by Friday, February 2, 2001, after which time the Commission will make its determinations.
