On June 8, 2001, the Joint Industry Electricity Steering Committee (“JIESC”) applied for a participant assistance cost award on behalf of large industrial users in B.C. for participating in proceedings concerning British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority’s (“B.C. Hydro”) Application for Approval of Bypass Guidelines for Independent Power Producers Seeking Access to B.C. Hydro’s Transmission Service through B.C. Hydro’s Distribution System (the “Application”); and B. The Commission has determined that the JIESC’s participation in the proceedings reimbursement in accordance with the Commission’s guidelines; and C. The Commission has reviewed the application with regard to the criteria and rates set out in Commission Order No. G-23-01. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 118(1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission awards funds to the JIESC in the amount of $7,919.63 for its participation in the proceedings regarding B.C. Hydro’s Application. 2. B.C. Hydro is directed to reimburse the JIESC for the total amount awarded in a timely fashion.
