Nicholls, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On January 18, 2002, the British Columbia Public Interest Advocacy Centre (“BCPIAC”) applied for a participant assistant cost award for their participation in the UtiliCorp Networks Canada (British Columbia) Ltd. (“UNC”) Application for its Preliminary 2002 Revenue Requirements and the 2001 Annual Review; and B. The Commission has determined that BCPIAC’s participation in the UNC proceeding warrants reimbursement in accordance with the Commission’s approved guidelines; and C. The Commission has reviewed the application with regard to the participant assistance criteria and rates set out in Commission Order No. G-23-01 and has determined that for this proceeding it will reimburse only one expert consultant at the maximum reimbursement rate of $1,200/day. BCPIAC’s second consultant will be reimbursed at a rate of $1,000/day for the one day billed. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 118(1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission awards funds to BCPIAC in the amount of $10,369.42 for participating in the UNC proceeding. 2.
