Ostergaard, Chair ) P.G. Bradley, Commissioner ) June 19, 2003 K.L. Hall, Commissioner ) O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On June 16, 2003 Terasen Gas (Vancouver Island) Inc. (“Terasen VI”) filed with the Commission a June 9, 2003 Letter Agreement (“the Storage Agreement”) with Terasen Gas Inc. (“Terasen Gas”) for the acquisition of 5,275 GJ/day of storage deliverability and 79,125 GJ of capacity from the Mist Storage facility in Oregon, USA; and B. The Agreement between Terasen VI and Terasen Gas is from May 1, 2003 to May 31, 2004 with an option to extend the Agreement to May 31, 2005; and C. The Storage Agreement for capacity and deliverability replaces a Peaking Agreement with Engage Energy Inc.; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Storage Agreement and finds that it is in the public interest. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission, pursuant to Section 71 of the Utilities Commission Act and the Rules for Energy Supply Contracts accepts for filing for Terasen VI the June 9, 2003 Letter Agreement with Terasen Gas for storage capacity and deliverability from the Mist, Oregon Storage Facility for the term May 1, 2003 to May 31, 2005. . . ./2
2 2. The Commission accepts Terasen VIs request to maintain the Storage Agreement and filed documents as confidential.
