Kelsey, Commissioner K.L. Hall, Commissioner September 16, 2004 O R D E R WHEREAS: A. Commission Order No. G-17-04 approved a gas cost recovery charge for the Fort Nelson Service Area of $5.839/GJ effective March 1, 2004; and B. On September 8, 2004 Terasen Gas Inc. (“Terasen Gas”) filed its 2004 Third Quarter Report on the Gas Cost Reconciliation Account (“GCRA”) for the Fort Nelson Service Area; and C. The 2004 Third Quarter Report requested approval of a $0.389/GJ rate increase effective October 1, 2004 to flow-through projected higher gas costs and avoid the accumulation of a debit balance in the GCRA over the following 12 months; and D. The requested rate increase will increase the annual bill of a typical residential customer by 5.4 percent. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. The Commission approves for Terasen Gas a rate increase of $0.389/GJ for the Fort Nelson Service Area that increases the gas cost recovery charge to $6.228/GJ, effective October 1, 2004. 2. Terasen Gas is to file with the Commission amended Gas Tariff Rate Schedules in accordance with this Order and to notify all affected customers of the rate increase in a timely fashion.
