Boychuk, Commissioner and Panel Chair R.J. Milbourne, Commissioner August 19, 2004 N.F. Nicholls, Commissioner O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On July 26, 2004, the BC Old Age Pensioners Organization et al. (“BCOAPO”) applied for a participant assistance cost award for its participation in the Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. (“PNG”) 2004 Revenue Requirements Application and PNG’s Application to Recapitalize under an Income Trust Ownership Structure; and B. The Commission has determined that BCOAPO’s participation in the PNG proceedings warrants reimbursement in accordance with the Commission’s approved guidelines; and C. The Commission has reviewed the application with regard to the participant assistance criteria and rates set out in Commission Order No. G-15-04. The Commission Panel has determined that the BCOAPO claim for counsel and consultant time exceeds the number of days eligible for funding and the award is reduced by $8,441.85. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 118(1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission awards funds to BCOAPO in the amount of $53,504.47 for its participation in the PNG proceedings. 2.
