Kelsey, Commissioner ) December 22, 2005 O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On December 15, 2005, Terasen Gas Inc. (“Terasen Gas”) applied for Commission approval to increase the charges for sales of Authorized and Unauthorized Overrun Gas under Rate Schedule 25 for the Fort Nelson Service Area (the “Application”); and B. The existing charges do not reflect current gas commodity market prices or the Terasen Gas Tariff in other service areas; and C. The current Authorized Overrun charge and the charge for the first five percent of Unauthorized Overrun is at $3.309/GJ, which Terasen Gas proposes to change to the Westcoast Station 2 daily price; and D. The current charge for Unauthorized Overrun in excess of five percent is $20/GJ, which Terasen Gas proposes to change to the greater of $20/GJ or 1.5 times the Westcoast Station 2 daily price; and E. The proposed charges mirror Rate Schedule 25 charges for the Lower Mainland, Inland and Columbia service areas, and Terasen Gas states that they will result in less risk for the utility; and . . ./2
2 F. The Commission concludes that requested changes to the Authorized and Unauthorized Overrun charges should be approved. NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 61 of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission approves for Terasen Gas the changes to Rate Schedule 25 Authorized and Unauthorized Overrun charges for the Fort Nelson Service Area as requested in the Application, effective January 1, 2006.
