V6B 5R4 Dear Ms. Sofield: Re: British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority (“BC Hydro”) Application for Conservation Research Initiative – Residential Time of Use Rates On August 28, 2006, BC Hydro filed an application (“Application”) pursuant to sections 58 to 61 of the Utilities Commission Act for approval of a set of residential time of use (“TOU”) rates. By Letter No. L-48-06, the Commission determined that the Application would be reviewed by way of a workshop and negotiated settlement process and, if agreement is not reached, by written submissions according to the attached Regulatory Timetable. The workshop and settlement discussions were held on Tuesday, September 12, 2006. In order to continue discussions prior to submitting a letter later today detailing proposed clarifications and amendments to its application, BC Hydro has requested that the deadline for intervenor submissions be extended until Monday, September 18, 2006. It proposes to maintain the original date of Wednesday, September 20, 2006 for its final submissions. In the view of the Commission the requested extension is appropriate, and approves the request and amends the Regulatory Timetable as follows.
