Kelsey, Commissioner L.A. Zaozirny, Commissioner October 5, 2006 O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On August 23, 2006, the British Columbia Utilities Commission (the Commission”) issued Order No. G-104-06 setting out its decision on the application of Terasen Gas Inc. (“Terasen Gas”) for a reconsideration of Commission Order No. G-98-05 and Reasons for Decision denying the recovery of Inland Pacific Connector Development Costs from Terasen Gas customers; and B. On July 6, 2006, Weyerhaeuser Company Ltd., Teck Cominco Metals Ltd., Zellstoff Celgar Limited and Canadian Forest Products Ltd. (“the Inland Industrials”) filed a Participant Assistance/Cost Award (“PACA”) Application for a cost award of $3,420.00 for their participation in the proceeding on the Terasen Gas application for reconsideration of Order No. G-98-05 and Reasons for Decision; and C. On October 3, 2006, Terasen Gas provided its comments on the Inland Industrials PACA application and stated its view that the PACA request is not unreasonable; and D. The Commission has reviewed the Inland Industrials PACA application with regard to the criteria and rates set out in the Guidelines in Commission Order No. G-15-04 and has concluded that the amount of cost award requested in the PACA application should be approved. …/2
2 NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 118(1) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission awards funds in the amount of $3,420.00 to the Inland Industrials for their participation in the proceeding for the application to reconsider Order No. G-98-05 and Reasons for Decision. 2. Terasen Gas is directed to reimburse the Inland Industrials for the total amount awarded in a timely manner.
