By Order No. G-46-05 dated May 18, 2005, the Commission approved for the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (“ICBC”) a Negotiated Settlement Agreement (“NSA”) on seven selected financial allocation functions including the Regional Claim Centres Allocation; and B. The NSA provided that ICBC file with the Commission in 2007 an updated work effort study relating to the Regional Claim Centres Allocation (i.e. work effort), to include revisions, if any, that ICBC proposes for the allocation of the costs of the Regional Claim Centres cost category. The NSA also provided that the filing relating to Regional Claim Centres will be reviewed in 2008 with the review including a process for the participation of Intervenors in the review; and C. By Letter No. L-84-07 dated October 16, 2007, the Commission provided a response to ICBC’s letter dated August 9, 2007 regarding the regional claims centres allocation process. Letter No. L-84-07 anticipated a filing by mid-December 2007 followed by a regulatory process that would include a workshop in January 2008 and a negotiated settlement process in early/mid February 2008; and D. On December 21, 2007 ICBC submitted a filing respecting the Regional Claim Centres Allocation, which included an updated work effort study relating to the Regional Claim Centres Allocator (“the Filing”); and E. In its Filing ICBC proposed a regulatory timetable consisting of a Workshop to be held on Friday, January 18, 2008 followed by a Negotiated Settlement Process (“NSP”) commencing on the afternoon of January 18, 2008; and F. The Commission has reviewed ICBC’s proposed regulatory timetable and considers that the establishment of a Regulatory Timetable for the Regional Claim Centres Allocation Workshop and NSP is warranted. NOW THEREFORE the Commission orders as follows: . . . /2

ICBC is to hold a Workshop with respect to the Regional Claim Centres Allocation, commencing at 9:00 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2008, in the Commission’s Hearing Room on the 12 th Floor, 1125 Howe Street, Vancouver, B.C. A Regulatory Timetable is attached as Appendix A to this Order. 2. A Negotiated Settlement Process with respect to the Regional Claim Centres Allocation will commence at a time to be determined following the Workshop on Monday, February 4, 2008, in the Commission’s Hearing Room on the 12 th Floor, 1125 Howe Street, Vancouver, B.C. If necessary, the Negotiated Settlement Process will continue on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 and on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 commencing at 9:00 a.m. in the same location. 3. The deadlines for Intervenor and Interested Party registration, information requests, and responses are set out in the Regulatory Timetable attached as Appendix A to this Order. 4. ICBC is to provide a copy of this Commission Order and Regulatory Timetable to all parties who participated in the 2005 Negotiated Settlement Process on seven selected allocation functions and those who participated in other ICBC regulatory proceedings during the past year. 5. The filing and supporting material will be made available for inspection at ICBC locations including, Kelowna, Prince George, Nelson, Victoria, and the Head Office of ICBC at 151 West Esplanade, North Vancouver, B.C., on ICBC’s website, and at the Commission Offices, Sixth Floor, 900 Howe Street, Vancouver B.C. V6Z 2N3. 6. Intervenors and Interested Parties should register with the Commission, in writing or electronic submission, by Friday, January 11, 2008, and advise whether they intend to attend the Regional Claim Centres Allocation Workshop and NSP. Intervenors are requested to specifically state the nature of their interest in the proceeding and to identify the issues that they intend to pursue during the proceeding. 7. Intervenors intending to apply for participant assistance must submit a budget estimate by January 14, 2008, consistent with the Commission’s Participant Assistance/Cost Award Guidelines and Order No. G-72-07.
