Kelsey, Commissioner P.E. Vivian, Commissioner December 11, 2008 O R D E R WHEREAS: A. On November 28, 2008 the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (“ICBC”) submitted to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (“the Commission”) an application to amend its Basic Insurance Tariff, effective February 1, 2009, to reflect consequential amendments arising from amendments to the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations (“MVAR”) (“the Application”); and B. The affected Rate Classes are 030, 035, and 170 in Schedule B of the Basic Insurance Tariff; and C. ICBC proposes amending the Index (page 2), Definitions (page 2), Basic Insurance Premiums (page 29), and Schedule B (pages 16, 36, 72, 73, 79, and 81), of the Basic Insurance Tariff in order to comply with the MVAR amendments, which are effective February 1, 2009; and D. The consequential amendments include definitions of “limited access island”, “utility vehicle”, and “forklift”; and E. The Commission has reviewed the Application and finds that its approval is warranted. NOW THEREFORE the Commission approves for ICBC the consequential amendments to its Basic Insurance Tariff.
