for Approval of Mitigation Plans required for Compliance with Mandatory Reliability Standards

O  R  D  E  R

 

WHEREAS:

 

A.      British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission) Order G-67-09 required Entities, subject to approved Mandatory Reliability Standards, to file Mitigation Plans (MP) outlining how they plan to meet compliance with standards they were not in compliance with;

 

B.      By letters dated February 3, 2011, the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) recommended that the Commission approve the following for Rio Tinto Alcan:

 

         Acceptance of revised MP with completion dates to April 30, 2011 for CIP-003-1, Requirements 1, 3, 4, 5, 6;

         Acceptance of MP with completion date of December 31, 2010 for PRC-005-1, Requirement 1;

         Acceptance of Attestation of Mitigation Plan Completion for PRC-005-1, Requirement 1;

         Acceptance of the revised MP with completion date of March 31, 2011 for PRC-005-1, Requirement 2;

 

C.      By letter dated February 10, 2011, WECC recommended acceptance of revised MP and extension of completion dates to April 30, 2011 for CIP-004-1, Requirements 2, 3, 4;

 

 


 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 125.2 (10) of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission accepts the WECC recommendations and approves the mitigation plans as listed above.
