and the Deregistration for Certain Functions

for Island Cogeneration No. 2 and NAES Corporation

O  R  D  E  R

WHEREAS:

A.    Order G-123-09 approved the Registration Manual for entities subject to adopted Mandatory Reliability Standards and required that entities subject to the standards register with the British Columbia Utilities Commission (Commission);

 

B.      The Registration Manual requires that the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) in its role as the Commission’s Mandatory Reliability Standards Administrator (Administrator) review and recommend registration for all applicable Entities;

 

C.      On May 3,2011, the Administrator recommended that the Commission approve the transfer of registration for the functions of Generator Owner from Island Cogeneration No. 2 to V.I. Power Limited Partnership and the transfer of registration for Generator Operator from NAES Corporation to V.I. Power Limited Partnership;

 

D.      By letters dated February 9, 2011 to WECC V.I. Power Limited Partnership has accepted all prior compliance responsibilities for Island Cogeneration No. 2 and NAES Corporation.

 

 

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 125.2 of the Utilities Commission Act, the Commission orders as follows:

 

1.       Functional registration for V.I. Power Limited Partnership is approved for Generator Owner and Generator Operator as recommended by the Administrator.

 

2.       Deregistration for the function of Generator Owner for Island Cogeneration No. 2 is approved as recommended by the Administrator.

 

3.       Deregistration for the function of Generator Operator for NAES Corporation is approved as recommended by the Administrator.
